The Story of The Mars Hotel

The Mars Hotel was created to be a place Uptown Saint John could call its own: a spot for great drinks, easy conversation, and staying a little longer than planned.

Founded by Saint John hospitality veteran Adam Landry, The Mars Hotel is a cocktail‑forward lounge designed as a modern “third place.” Not home. Not work. Just somewhere to land at the end of the day, unwind, and feel welcome. It may not be a hotel in the traditional sense, but the idea is simple: a place to return to, and feel at home.

Located in the heart of Uptown Saint John, New Brunswick, The Mars Hotel reflects the character of the city - creative, down‑to‑earth, and quietly confident. The vibe is elevated but never exclusive, blending craft cocktails with a relaxed, community‑driven atmosphere that feels natural to the neighbourhood.

The name The Mars Hotel nods to a 1974 Grateful Dead album, setting the tone for a space rooted in culture, character, and timeless cool. It’s about arriving as you are, settling in, and lingering just a little longer.

A Cocktail Lounge Rooted in Uptown Saint John

A Place to Land, Linger, and Feel at Home

Everything at The Mars Hotel is designed with intention, from thoughtfully crafted cocktails made with local and seasonal ingredients to an intimate, welcoming space built for conversation.

As Saint John continues to evolve, The Mars Hotel is proud to be part of that momentum. Not the loudest room in Uptown, but the one you come back to.
